Seasoned broadcaster, presenter and media personality Zuraida Jardine will be returning to the small screen to host Afternoon Express after taking time off to focus on her kids and her studies in psychology.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Zuraida revealed that she would be joining the popular daytime show, which covers everything from lifestyle to entertainment, mental health, and other informative content.
In her Instagram post, Zuraida writes:
“I am thrilled to announce my return to television, where I will be joining the esteemed @afternoonexpress team from today 18th July at 6pm on @sabc3.”

With a TV & radio career that spans over two decades, Zuraida took a break from the small screen to focus on raising her children, honing in on her psychology studies, and acquainting herself in the wellness space. With her return to TV, Jardine will be imparting her learned wisdom to Afternoon Express viewers.
She writes:
“My decade-long devotion to studying and practising in the realm of health and wellness has equipped me with profound knowledge in psychology, functional medicine, breathwork therapy, and critical health studies, which I am eager to share with you. My unique expertise in wellness affords me a different lens through which to host this new direction for the show and connect with the audience.”
Zuraida will be addressing topics around mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing on Afternoon Express, encouraging viewers to tap into their full potential. If you’re familiar with her social media posts, you’ll know that Jardine is incredible at sharing mental health & wellness motivation, tools and techniques for a vital, vibrant life.
